Pilots based at the ultralight airfield Erkelenz-Kueckhoven meet for a BBQ every few weeks. This time the event was upgraded to a REMOS Fly-in. About 70 pilots and 36 REMOS aircraft appeared on the grass strip. 26 REMOS machines are based at the airfield permanently; and ten more flew in from other airfields. In the spotlight was the prototype of the REMOS GXiS, piloted by engineer Christian Majunke. He provided a demonstration of the aircraft in the air and on the ground. Christian also showed how easy it is to start-up the fuel injected engine Rotax 912 iS Sport with our unique system called SMARTstart. Included among the guests was Paul Masschelein, CEO of the REMOS AG. Erkelenz-Kueckhoven, which is close to Moenchengladbach, is Europe’s largest ultralight airfield. 92 aircraft are based there in three hangars.
